Job Summary

The HSF Events Assistant is responsible to support all HSF activities, which includes set up, operation and teardown. During times of inactivity, the Events Assistant will assist in the HSF Events Office. The Events Assistant is a part-time HSF position and will receive a maximum of twelve hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Set-up for events, that may include; decorating, stage and skirting assembly, chair set-up, equipment set-up and assembly, equipment load-in for bands, displaying signs, gathering supplies such as food, drinks, prizes etc.
• Operation of events, that may include; public speaking, distribution of materials, recruitment of student participation, hosting special guests, performers and bands and one on one communication with students.
• Tear-down of events that may include; stage and skirting disassembly, removing advertising and signs, clean-up and load-out of band equipment.
• To assist in the HSF events office at the front desk by assisting students, answering calls and performing minor office duties such as photocopying and typing.
• To assist HSF clubs, Program Associations and Volunteers as required.
• To recruit sufficient assistance from volunteers.

The HSF Events Assistant will receive direction from the Programming Director and will work in conjunction with the Programs Director/Coordinator and the Vice President of Campus Life.
